About Me
Hello! I'm Lindsey Bogott. I am an end-to-end product designer leveraging my social science, marketing, and retail background to solve complex problems. For the past 4 years, I have been working closely with small companies and startups in various B2C industries, designing all parts of the user journey.
As a designer, I'm passionate about human-centered projects and systems that empower people to achieve their goals while fostering transparency, inclusivity, and forward-thinking but simple designs. I'm naturally curious, thriving on challenges and employing critical thinking to create designs that not only fulfill business needs but also surpass customer expectations.
Earning my B.A. in Sociology from Beloit College honed my critical thinking skills, teaching me to analyze data and research to understand, articulate, and creatively tackle problems. This sociological perspective has helped me develop an empathetic approach to interacting with diverse groups of people. These skills have been invaluable in my roles in digital marketing, where I've helped small businesses in the retail, travel, and tech sectors understand their target audiences. I accomplished this by creating personas, conducting surveys, and analyzing data to optimize their use of e-commerce tools, social media, and rebranding strategies.
Since pivoting into UX/UI Product Design in 2021, I've teamed up with a variety of organizations including a food & beverage entrepreneur, an educational NGO in Honduras, a social media startup, and ChurchSpace, a platform for sharing underutilized chuch spaces. In each position, I've collaborated closely with stakeholders to understand their business goals then created solutions that provide a simple and easy digital experience with captivating visual designs – all while prioritizing transparency and a comprehensive customer journey.
My designs are largely influence by from what I observe in the world around me. My largest source of inspiration comes from my passion for the creative art & design - from printmaking to architecture and interior design to mixed media and from hiking and road tripping around California and beyond.
